The City has sent me the ice permit paperwork, so winter must be coming! Our first night of skating will be Tuesday December 3, 2013. The season runs through to Thursday February 20, 2014.
For parents with kids who want to learn how to speed skate, the City is offering a nine-week Learn to Speed Skate program at Commander Arena starting this Thursday October 10 or Sunday October 13. Our friends at the Toronto Speed Skating Club instruct this program; it's good! Click here for further information.

Lots of new skaters last night!
Three adults and three children tried speed skating for the first time last night! Thanks for your on-ice coaching, Jim.
People are welcome to try out speed skating any evening for $10, including speed skates.
Our club caters to all ages, young and old. Given that we’re all on the ice at the same time, I ask that a parent or guardian skate with children 12 years and under, and that kids wear helmets.
I'm not able to skate this season, so please drop me an email in advance so I can ensure one of our coaches can provide you some on-ice instruction.
